Customer Journey triggered by contacts newly added to segment

Is there a way to set up a customer journey that starts when a customer is newly added to a segment? I don't want to have our existing database go into this customer journey?

Bit of background -

We are not using a dynamics form on our website to get customers into the CRM so I can not use a form fill as a trigger. BUT when contacts are entered into the CRM I can see they are created by an admin account so I can use that to create a segment. 

This is a simple journey I want to create, new contact record is created by this admin account, they are sent a welcome email. That's it!

But when I create the journey targeting segment it's adding historical contacts to the journey, which is not good, these contacts should not get a welcome email we have been chatting to them for some time.

Is there a way to create a journey that starts with a trigger that a contact enters journey, then is sent an email? Without it spamming my whole existing segment?

    In your Segment that you are using for the Journey set a condition on the Contacts' Created On field and set the date to a fixed or relative date.
