D365FFO on premises with reverse proxy to make the ERP URL public

Hi All,

i have done many D365FFO on-premises deployment with .local domain or .com, and the .com will be later exposed to the internet through reverse proxy by the cleint infrastructure team, but my question if i did a deployment with .local ERP URL with a .local certificate, then the client wanted to make the ERP public, can this be done just by reverse proxy and adding .com DNS record ? or i will have to reconfigure the deployment and the certificates to .com ?

and can the same be done with ADFS to be configured as local that will authenticate with the .local Active directory and allowing this same ADFS to be public as well only by reverse proxy ? or i have to configure new .com ADFS?

Haven't tested to came a cross same kind scenario .
