Sales insights tables (email-analytics and activityparty-analytics) consume too much space

Hi all,

Some time ago we turned on Sales Insights (basic version) on our production instance, and on the next day I saw two new tables email-analytics and activityparty-analytics, and they were 120Gb total.

I believe they contain some data for sales insights.
We indeed have lots(millions) of emails, 99% of it is Customer Support related messages, which we definitely do not need to to analyze and deleting them is not an option.

I didn't find any switches or settings to change such behaviour, or turn off Sales Insights.
I only disabled all assistant cards.

Any thoughts on how to clean the database?

    Hello Andrei,

Email-Analytics and Activityparty-Analytics are tables which will be created after Sales Insights is deployed in an environment.

You can verify what are the entities currently enabled for Azure Data Lake Services integration by accessing the following entity through an API request:

    https://[organization URI]/api/data/v9.0/entityanalyticsconfigs

All entities retrieved in this request that contain "isenabledforadls":true can potentially create a table for Analytics.

In order to reduce the consumption, the solution that contains this functionality should be uninstalled (in this case Sales Insights) and the tables should be cleaned up automatically in 48h.

However, before proceeding with this action, please raise a case with Technical Support so we can investigate this further for your specific environments.

    Thank you!

    Carolina

    Hi,

Pardon me for bringing this thread back.

I'm having similar issues in seeing the File storage ballooning because of the <entity>-Analytics table and not finding where this data is actually stored.

Wanted to confirm if deleting the solution is the only way? In my case, I can't see any Insights application installed on the environment.

    Kindly advise. :)

    Thanks in advance!
