Making simple products items to Master Products

Hi Experts,

I have a question, if our organization made products and they made transaction on it can we convert it to master product with its variants or dimension ?? if we haven't transaction then what ?

Hi,

It is not possible to change the item from Product to Product Master as there are few more fields for Product Master compared to the Products.

Also as Mr Gunjan mentioned, better delete the item as there is no transaction happened. But be careful, I think you cannot create a Product Master with the same Product number. When you create a item, several related tables are created simultaneously

Shabir,

To my knowledge you cannot change created products to product masters.

In case there are no transactions, you can delete the product and the released item and create a new product master with the same product number.
