Hi All,
I create a new PO with draft/approve status and add an item to line, now i want to change the account in account distribution, but all buttons is disabled unless reset.
Please help me.
Hi,
About View distributions, I found this explanation.
** View distributions** – View the accounting distributions for the all lines and monetary amounts on the document. You can't modify the accounting distributions from this view.
You can find more details in this URL:
docs.microsoft.com/.../accounting-distributions
Also, you can set the main account in Inventory management > Setup > Posting.
You can set it by Group or by Table(Item).
Hope this can help you.
Hi Tian,
Thanks for your reply.
I am clicking the distribute amounts in line, instead of view distributions in head.
I mistook Distribute amounts for View distributions.
Distribute amounts – View and modify the accounting distributions for an individual line and any child lines, such as taxes or charges. You can also view and modify the accounting distributions for the child line directly from the Sales tax transactions page or the Charges transactions page.
Modify vendor invoice header amounts, such as charges or currency rounding amounts.
Modify vendor invoice line amounts.
You can check for more details in this URL:
docs.microsoft.com/.../accounting-distributions-subledger-journal-entries-vendor-invoices
Hope this time it will be good to you!
I appreciate your support.
According to my exploration, i found only the account of item couldn't be updated, others such as category, charge could be updated.
Is this standard behavior?
Hi Hello World,
Why do you want to update an account in the accounting distribution?
From the line section you can actually do that and change the account if you like.
Even though this is possible, as an accountant, I really hate that.
Why?
Because we have the posting profiles that Tian Tan shared and everything should be specified there.
Otherwise you run the risk that your accounts end up in a mess because everybody is posting transactions differently.
That's not a good practice and makes an account analysis difficult.
Best regards,
Ludwig
Yes, this is a standard behavior.
Good morning Hello World,
Is there any other help you need from the community in regards to this issue?
Would be great if you could keep us informed.
Many thanks and best regards,
Thank you both, i got it.
