Lookup Invent Items in Purchase Request for a Project AX2012 R3

Hi Everyone,

When we are making a new purchase requisition for a given project. And while adding request lines , We need to filter only Project Categories and Projects Items to appear to the requester.

That is , Lookup Invent Items and Project Categories in Purchase Request lines for a specific Project.

Are there a standard solution for that approach.

Or, should we build a customized solution?

    Hello Hatem,

Ludwig is correct the filtering you are looking for is not available out of the box.  To have this filtered the way you would like it would require a modification to the standard code.

    Best regards,

    Mike Dewald

    Thanks Ludwig,

Although, we tried purchase policy to filter items by the selected project in the request, but the lookup showing all items.

For your question, Project category is standard field in PurchReqLine Table , as well as ProjectID and Procurement Category.

There are no adjustment here. It is just show/hide fields.

    Best Regards

    Hatem Mahdy

    Hi Hathem,

To my knowledge the filtering options you are looking out for are not available at the purchase requisition level where you are.

    By the way:

Hasn't the column with the name 'project category' be renamed?

To me this field looks like the procurement categories with a different heading.

Can you verify that; that is, can you be sure that there is no adjustment made here?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
