I have configured my budget control but when I put an over budget transaction from Daily Journal, It does not stop me from posting that transaction.

Have you activated the Budget control configuration and turned it on? Please check the last tab/section of the Budget control configuration form.

Hi Ludwig,
It worked for me only for the Main Accounts which are mentioned in Control rules.
It confuses me as it should work for all account also which are not a part of control rules.
Please calarify

Hi Ashish,
That's actually the standard behaviour of AX. Only those accounts incuded in your control rules are checked against available budget funds.

If you want let's say enable budget control for all main accounts and execute the control only at the cost center / department level, then you have to exclude the main account in the financial dimensions used for budget control. This is also mentioned in the article available via the previous link. Just check under "select main accounts"
