Hello,
We have a requirement for special leave to be approved by HR (which is fine), but if it is approved or denied, we must send an email to the employee and their manager.
How do I add more than one recipient?
Many Thanks,
Christy
Hi Christy,
If you select User in the Recipient tab and then select the User tab you can select 1 or more users to be notified of the Approval or Rejection.
You can simply build a workflow rule that uses the Email Alert workflow action. In that workflow action, you can add the email addresses of the manager and of employee in bcc. Read this from an article on online education that focuses on all technical sort of education. https://elearningways.com Hope it helps you. But make sure the workflow rule only fires on the specific kinds of cases you want just like this special leave.
Hi Kasey,
Can you set rules for the workflow to dynamically select the manager, instead of a specific user?
Thanks,
Hi Bruce,
Could you provide screenshots?
Do you mean create another step in the workflow, which is assigned to the manager? We tried this but becuase it would have to be an auto-approved step, it will skip the email of the workflow item being assigned to the user.
Our workaround in the end was to create a workflow in CDS, but I'd still like to know if this is even possible!
