Delegate the work items of user to another user

Dears,

I hope everything is going well with you.

one of Our decision makers going to annual vacation so he asked us to delegate all his work items to another decision maker. so, i went to the username then to the user option and added the Scop to be All and added the user that we need to delegate for him then we define the date and time (From and to) then we check the Enable option.

but today we found the workflow assigned to the old User did not go to the delegated user, I have checked the dates and the times, and the date and time of the workflow was after the specified date and time.!!

so, I don't have any idea why the approval request of the workflow went to the old user not to the new user. could you help me please

Is it a spesific WF or many other and is it replicable?

it's a workflow which has 6 levels, and the last level it has to be assigned to the delegated user but i assigned to the original user.

the workflow started before the effected data of delegation, but the assigned approval was after the effected date of delegation

Hi Karim,

The delegate option is not re-assigning existing pending workflows. Only new instances will be delegated to the replacer. You need to manually re-assign the workflows in case the original user did not finish his pending work.

The same is valid if workflow got assigned to the delegated user and the original user returns.
