Personalization

Hey Team,

I have added some personalization files to my user successfully via x++ and the data is added to both FormRunConfiguration table and FormRunConfigurationOptions  table but when I view this user through the personalization tab I can see all the personalization greyed out. The two choice boxes "Personalization allowed", "Explicit Personalization allowed" are not selected automatically whereas these fields come from FormRunConfigurationOptions   table so why is this happening can anyone let me know?

    Hi skd,

Are you logged in with a System admin account? Are you able make changes to personalizations of other users? From the screenshot, all the buttons look to be greyed out and hence it looks like an issue with permissions.

No, actually I logged from my company credentials and I'm creating a user and adding the files but when I'm running the same code through visual studio using System admin account it works fine.

When you log in with your company credentials, are you able to add personalizations to the user Ids manually (without running the code)?

    Hey Gunjan Bhattacharyya,

Yes, I'm able to add personalization manually through my company credentials.

    Hi skd,

You started this conversation already a while ago in another thread. community.dynamics.com/.../personalization-using-x

As mentioned there, you seem to re-invent the wheel as you can already copy between users. You can also work with saved views.

I also listed some tables, but mentioned that it might not be all. Have you looked at all the related tables on this form and in the AOT an their contents when someone manually creates a personalization and when you use the standard features for copying the personalizations?

Probably, you missed an important part here.

    Hey André Arnaud de Calavon,

I have looked into other tables as well but I think only those two tables are required, in my case everything has gone right in fact I'm running the same code in a separate project it works perfectly. It's just that in that case I'm creating an associate through a batch job and later running the class to add personalization to this associate. But in my current scenario I'm creating an associate and adding personalization through the same batch job so somewhere I don't  know why but it is not checking the "Personalization allowed", "Explicit Personalization allowed" boxes.
