Saved personalisation's not available to load after usage data reset

We have just upgraded to R3 but user personalisation's saved (and visible for loading originally) are then not there following a usage data reset for users.  (This is required to clear a caching issue) .This wasn't a problem in R2.  I am seeing the message something like 'no customisations exist for user xxxxxxx' when I come to reload what was saved just prior to clearing the data.

anyone seen this or have a solution?

thanks

Personalization was stored in usage data (SysLastValue) already in AX 3.0; it's definitely not a new thing in AX 2012 R3.

Deleting usage data means deleting saved queries. form personalization and all these things.

What are you referring to when saying "to reload what was saved just prior to clearing the data".

Hi Martin, I'm referring to using the 'Save' option on the personalisation's box after having made a few changes to a list view for example.  We name the saved personalisation as something, reset the usage data, and then it is not there when we select 'Load' again after.  This process definitely worked in R2 as we used it prior to clearing usage data to put back personalisation's that were cleared in the process,

    thanks

You can see these saved personalizations at Form setup tab in Usage data form. If you delete them, well, they will be deleted, and the list of personalizations to load will be empty. The only solution is not deleting these records. Delete those records you want to delete and don't delete what you want to keep.

thanks Martin, ok I can see them now in Form set up.  My only difficulty now is picking out which lines are a personalisation and which are not and still need deleting as they all appear as record type 'usersetup'  on the 'all usage data tab but I will work out a way.

    Many thanks for your help

Look at the logic that AX uses to populate the list of configurations to load. It's in loadSetup() method of SysSetupForm. It might help.

    Hi Martin,

If using the reset option on Personalization form does it mean that clears out all saved forms as well?

Otherwise if really clears out the saved ones what is the functions for this Reset option and what is the functionality  for the retrieve if all saved data lost?

    Thank you,

    Best Regards,

    Pal

    Yes, it does.

If you deleted data from database that you didn't want to delete, you can take it from your database backup.
