    Hi,

To get around this, you don't have to fill the reference at the number sequence form. Instead you must go to the parameters form (Procurement & sourcing) and link the number sequence here.

The way you are trying to add this number sequence is not working for number sequence references which are available in the parameter forms. (so almost all of them).

    Got it resolve...

I tried Scope parameter--> company (which was the old number sequence setup).

I was able to link the number sequence in   parameters form (Procurement & sourcing) ...

André Arnaud de Calavon : Thanq you for your solution...

    Hi André,

I do have the same issue. We did create a new company and we're doing the number sequences manually instead of using the wizard. For most of the number sequences, we could create them by the Organization administration module > Common > Number sequneces > Number sequences except for some of them. For the problematic number sequences, some don't appear at all in any parameter form, so we're stuck.

Do you have any cue for this kind of situation?

    Beat regards,
    David Germain

    Hi David,

Please specify which number sequence references you want to use and which exact version of AX you are using. There are indeed some required sequences not on any parameter form, but I can't advise without an example.

    Hi André,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

We're working in AX2012 R2, and an example that is problematic is for the Area Basic and the Reference Activity number.

We're working a lot with the Project module, where we find the activities, but I know it's widely used in other modules, such as Sales and marketing. I guess that's the reason why it's not in the Project parameters form.

We will test the wizard in a testing environment, and narrow the automatic selection of the wizard to only a single number sequence, and see how it goes.

Please let me know your thoughts.
    Regards,
    David

    Hi David,

You can setup the number sequence for this reference with scope 'Company' and select the desired company. Then on the fast tab References you can add the reference for Basic, Activity manually. This number sequence seems to be not available on any parameter form. Then it is possible to do it on the number sequence manually.

    Hi André,

That's what I tried and receive the error message: "Cannot create a record in Number sequence [...] The record already exists."

In the Number sequence list, with a filter Basic / Activity Number, the sequence number I'm trying to create for the corresponding company is not showing.

It wasn't create in the past, either manually or with the wizard, but I still receive the error message.

If you have any cue, let me know.

    Thanks,

    David
