Hi All,

I'd like to increase space between lines of a textbox in SSRS (as Line Spacing in MS Word with Single, 1.5 Lines, Double, ...). LineHeight property of textbox not affect. Is it a bug or should use another property? How can archive it without coding to split lines?

    Hi,

Unfortunately it is not possible in SSRS based on the below links:

    stackoverflow.com/.../spacing-width-between-lines

    social.msdn.microsoft.com/.../line-height-or-line-spacing-in-sql-reporting-services-2008-r2-when-using-sql-server-business

So,As we all know, there are many kinds of line space in Microsoft Word, like single, 1.5 lines, double, multiple...The line space property of text-box in Reporting Services is LineHieght, however, this property setting only has an effect in HTML rendering. It is ignored for other rendering formats.

So in you scenario, I would prefer a workaround: you can add vbCrLf to your textbox’s expression manually for each line if possible.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Thank Saurabh and Jonathan!

What a pity that line space property of text-box in Reporting Services has no effect in Report Viewer rendering! Padding property does not satisfies the requirement.

In fact, posted sales invoices are printed on pre-printed paper. There is "total amount in letter" region with 2 dot lines on paper. It is nice if we can use one textbox and line spacing property. Currently, we split text by C/AL code and use 2 textboxes for this.

    Hi Ansar,

Just made a test again, LineHeight property still not work in latest SSRS report.

Here you are, how I split long text into 2 lines:
