Impersonate Users in D365 for Finance & Operations

Hello there,

Surprisingly seems like no threads is mentioning my current request here in the object below.

As you, D365 for Fin & OPs fellows probably guess with the object, my question is: how can I impersonate another User in D365 for Finance and Operations (Cloud-based running 8.0 PU22), well is it possible ?

I have Admin rights.

    What scenario do you have in mind? Are you talking about running come code as another user, logging into GUI as somebody else, or what?

    You can "impersonate" another user by logging in with the credentials of another user. What do you want to achieve? For example if you want to test security roles you could have a separate user account for that, still keeping your actual account as admin.

    the goal would be to check what the user can see when he's logging in D365 (menus, etc....)

    One option is simply creating a test user and assigning the same roles to it.

    Check out also the approach using InternalDevTools (I've never worked with it, therefore I can't share any experience).
