Hi guys i face problem in  specified item. in this  item some entry quantity as 17.25 and unit cost is 655  this is by ton and i need it by kg

so that i need this item as following 17250 as quantity and unit cost as 0.655 .so that make new item with same name as old then blocked old and add all entries to new item to make this for all entries  it will take more time .

1-can i do this by data port to transfer data from item ledger entry to item journal

2-can i make data port to take data to  external file then modify in it then import again to system or this wrong if i make this which tables and filed i will change

or if you have any solution easier please told me

    Hi

I would recommend against doing that, the item ledger entry has value entries and GL entries that are linked and too much that could go wrong with an export and import like that, you also want to leave an audit trail and with a modification like that there will be none

Rather look at ways of speeding up the transfer to a new item card like a function to copy the item card or something that will generate the negative and positive adjustment item journal from the previous items entries

    Cheers
