Hello,

In the environment i'm working on we have three different email fields. Emailadress1, Emailadress2, Emailadress3. What we would like to achieve is contacts to submit their mailadress on a form with emailadress1 but for the system to check in all 3 of the fields if this adress already exists in one of these. If for example the submitted mailadress already exists in emailadress3 we dont want the system to create a new record. When this happens and emailadress1 is empty it can fill in mailadress1 with the submitted mailadress then 1 and 3 would be the same. But thats OK. But if 1 is not empty it should do just nothing but capture the submission. Not create a new record. Does anyone know how to do this? I thought with duplication detection rules. But someone submits with emailadress1.

Hello,

It is possible to create a custom matching strategy. learn.microsoft.com/.../mkt-settings-matching

Unfortunately, the matching strategy doesn't allow complex conditions. All attributes used in matching strategy must match.

There is an open idea to improve the matching strategy: Microsoft Idea (dynamics.com) Please feel free to vote for this.
