add a filed in a form to look up the to look up the dimension value name

I have a field in form 256 payment journal field SourceExpr is ShortcutDimCode[3]. I want to add another field to validate the dimension value name. can any one help to code. The record in that filed is not showing in the Gen. line table. otherwise i can use a flow field. Please help.

Thank you suresh for your reply i will explain.. There is a text box in a form 256 payment journal (form table : Gen.Journal line.) the text box property sourceExpr is ShortcutDimCode[3]. This SourceExpr is not from table. when i enter a value(dimension value code) to this text box , it is not showing in the Gen journal line table, it is going to another table no 356 Journal Line Dimension. My requirement is to add another text box in that form to show the name (dimension value name ) . Hope you understand.

Do you mean different Dimension if so that form already has those fields ShortCutDimCode[4]... can you explain what exactly is your requirement
