Hi,
What security role should I use to grant access to a user that allows him/her to:
1. View all the modules including transactions and vouchers.
2. Generate reports in all modules?
Thanks so much!
Hi Kim,
If the role is about granting view access only and no permissions to add, modify or delete data, then you would need to create an own read-only role for this purpose.
I created a blog related to this for AX2012. The ideas are the same, but selecting the duties and privileges in Dynamics 365 are not the same as I explained in this blog: AX2012 - How to create a read only security role (Walkthrough) (dynamicspedia.com)
In Dynamics 365, you can open a security role in designer mode. Then filter the AOT results by typing "Inquire" or "Review". Now you can select all duties and drag and drop all required duties to the security role. Note that your model should have a reference to all models from which you add the duties in your security role.
Thanks, Andre', for your response. It's very useful.
