Issue with "Marketing Professional – Business" security role

We assigned the out-of-the-box Marketing Professional – Business security role to some of our users in a non-production environment. But after a certain time (an hour to several days) the role were removed from all of them without our intervention. Note that:
  • We do not have any process in the back-end for user management
  • We did not make any modification to this security role
  • Other users with other type of security role do not have this issue
  • We activated the system auditing, but we didn't see anything in the logs that could explain this behavior
Are there any conditions required for a user to have this type of role or is this a D365 bug?

    Leah Ju, none of them has a change of BU, but there are disassociate events for each of them made by the #CDSUserManagement.

    mkirkpatrick, thank you for the response. Our CoE did suggest about the Enterprise license, but we thought it's an over-kill just to give our user this out-of-the-box role. Some of our users have the Case Management license and the rest have Premium license.

    We experienced this same issue and it seemed to be tied to users who were lacking the base Sales Enterprise license. We are using an Attach license for CI - Journeys.  Once the licenses were applied, the Security Roles have not disappeared.

    Hi Partner,
    For the users who are having problems, have all the security roles disappeared, or is it just the 'Marketing Professional - Business' one that has disappeared?
    1.If it's all characters disappearing, consider if they've changed BUs.
    This is because a change in the BU can result in the removal of the original security roles.
    *Security role removal due to BU changes will not be traced in 'audit history'
    2.If this is the only security role that disappears, is there an 'Disassociate Entities' event?'' on the user's 'Audit history'?
