Getting below error while inserting gen. Jornal form web services any idea??

"The Gen. Journal Template does not exist. Identification fields and values: Name=''.

Same journal i am able to insert wiht API page.

You need to give a valid value for the Gen.Journal Template field. That can not be empty because it is part of the primary key of the journal line table.

Hi, if you publish General Journal (39, Worksheet) page directly in Web Service, it's not the same code as the API page.

Personally, I recommend using API page because it has better performance.

Hi, I tested it, and it works.

Get: api.businesscentral.dynamics.com/.../GeneralJournals

Post: api.businesscentral.dynamics.com/.../GeneralJournals

Body:

   "Journal_Template_Name": "GENERAL",

   "Journal_Batch_Name": "DEFAULT",

   "Line_No": 30000,

   "Document_No": "221024",

   "Account_Type": "Customer",

}

As the error message suggests, you should have missed the Gen. Journal Template ("Journal_Template_Name").

I am also having similar issue. But I need to use the OData 4 Web Service page 39 option only. Since we have several customers who are using ODATA 4 web service for page 39, so we can't migrate to API page. We need to resolve this issue for this one customer who is getting this error for some reason even when the Gen. Journal Template exists.

Could you please help with this?
