Security user role history data

Hi,

Does AX stores the history of the user security roles assigned to a User. I have a scenario in which a User has reported that he is not being assigned a security role which he was earlier entitled to. How can I see the history of the roles assigned to that user and when has the access been revoked and by whom ?

    No, it does not.

    If you need to audit that, you could set up database logging for that for future changes, but it will not be able to tell what has happened in the past, since it is from point forward.

    Alternatively restore your database backup from an earlier stage before your expected change to another SQL Server instance / DB name, and then connect your dev/test/qa AX AOS against it to have a look.

    Hi Anjan,

    There is an Estonian feature which will do some logging. It needs to be enabled for your or all countries. Have a look at the blog from Microsoft around this topic: blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../dynamics-ax-2012-audit-of-security-role-membership-changes

    Note that you then also need to test if users need more permissions on several related tables.

    When you enable it, it will log for the new changes done, it will not give an answer who did it this time.
