Using eConnect to import contracts always defaults to Estimate

Posted on by 75,730

The taPAContracts eConnect routine has a field called PASTAT which is the contract status of

1-Open

2-On Hold

3-Closed

4-Estimate

5-Closed

The default is Default from Setup. My question is where is setup defined? I do not see anything in GP that allows you to set the default contract status to Estimate. Is there such a setting? If so, where is it? If there is no such setting I will set it to 1 as I need all contract and projects to be set as Open.

Do you need to insert the parts of a contract in a certain order? I reviewed my code and I see a note in there about PASTAT. Currently, I import in this order the contract, project, budget, fee schedules and fees. Does the importing of the contract need to occur last in order to set PASTAT to 1(Open)?

Thanks, that make sense. If no value is passed it will use default values.

    Hi Richard,

The taPAContracts eConnect SP itself sets defaults to 4 if you do not pass value to @I_vPASTAT parameter. there is no setup in GP. so Yes you should pass 1 to @I_vPASTAT parameter.

    Thanks
