Can we customise Resource card on schedule board

Hi team,

We have a requirement to highlight what skills an individual is interested in developing or performing (or not interested in), so that this can be considered when work orders/requirements are being assigned to a resource.

I wonder if we can update Resource card on schedule board to reflect interest/not interest? or we achieve the requirement differently such as update proficiency model values (0-4) whereas 0 means "not interested" and 4 means "expert"...

Thanks

Good thought Dan, probably best to keep them at the bottom of the list. I'll look into UFX to achieve this.

    Thanks

Would you want to exclude them if they are not interested? Or is it about doing your best not to book them? Perhaps you don’t exclude them but rather use UFX to sort those at the bottom?

Hi Dan Gittler - Dynamics Field Service and all.

Thanks for the suggestions. i'll look into this(resource cell customisation using ufx) as i did some customisation around this area couple of years ago.

However what i see at this moment, if we search for a requirement on schedule board without specifying proficiency in the requirement or characteristic filter on schedule board, the search also returns the resource who is Not Interested(i.e. there proficiency level for that skill is set to 0) in that skills. So either we explicitly specify proficiency(such as Good/Expert) in the requirement/filter on schedule board or update the query on schedule board to exclude proficiency values of 0 by default from search result.

    Any more thoughts?

You can also display information using custom schema on the resource cell (where the picture is) as opposed to the flyout card. Here is the documentation link. It is geared more towards a developer than configuration - docs.microsoft.com/.../understanding-and-customizing-resource-matching-in-urs

The 2nd approach (two different skills) is a harder distinction. Using the skill level (0 to 4) in contrast is something where usually the higher level includes the lower level. So that if no other Resource is found, also a Resource with 4 would be taken by Schedule Assistant to cover a Requirement for somebody with skill level 0.

In your scenario I think it could make more sense to have two different skills.

I think the proficiency model sounds suitable for what you are trying to achieve.

Or you can just create 2 types of characteristics:

    - Installing Washing Machine (Interested)

    - Installing Washing Machine (Non Interested)

    Either way is fine though
