Hi...

I am not able to start dynamics ax 2012 services after restore demo data (6.0.947.0-contoso-PI-RTM.bak). can any body help me in this regards

did you install the AOS after the database was restored?

in case not, check security also check windows event log on AOS.

and firewall open on the SQL server?

Have you restored the database to a Microsoft VM or to your own server?

Hi,

U need to update UserInfo table using below script.

(Change ur Admin SID, Network Alias, Domain below)

update USERINFO

set NETWORKDOMAIN = 'contoso.com', NETWORKALIAS = 'admin',

SID = 'S-1-5-21-2423567575-2897528880-3809357285-500'

where id = 'admin'

Try changing the AOS service account and use the Administrator account to start the AX service. That is not the right way but should work.

I am accessing dynamics ax with Administrator account which is having full access.

What is the service account of the AOS services? Can you verify if this service account have the rigth permissions to access the AX databases?

event log:

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

{61738644-F196-11D0-9953-00C04FD919C1}

to the user NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE SID (S-1-5-20) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

the above error is showing in event log. and i had restored data on my domain.
