Hi...

I am not able to start dynamics ax 2012 services after restore demo data (6.0.947.0-contoso-PI-RTM.bak). can any body help me in this regards

Hi Usmankhan,

You can explore the event logs on AOS and SQL server for more hints.

It could be perhaps the linked active directory user on the admin user or other service accounts stored in the demo database. Did you restore the database in your own domain or in a contoso demo demain?

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

{61738644-F196-11D0-9953-00C04FD919C1}

to the user NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE SID (S-1-5-20) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

the above error is showing in event log. and had restored data on my domain.

please help me..

What is the service account of the AOS services? Can you verify if this service account have the rigth permissions to access the AX databases?

I am accessing dynamics ax with Administrator account which is having full access.

Try changing the AOS service account and use the Administrator account to start the AX service. That is not the right way but should work.

Hi,

U need to update UserInfo table using below script.

(Change ur Admin SID, Network Alias, Domain below)

update USERINFO

set NETWORKDOMAIN = 'contoso.com', NETWORKALIAS = 'admin',

SID = 'S-1-5-21-2423567575-2897528880-3809357285-500'

where id = 'admin'
