Hello,

I have a problem with the depreciation of fixed assets. When I post depreciation in the journal and check the transactions, I always find 2 lines, 2 transactions, so in the end I get double depreciation. Does anyone know why this happens and what settings affect this behavior.

BR,
Mirza

    Hi,

Can you please check if the asset depreciation profile has also 2 lines?

Which country are you working on? May that be a localization?

Please share screen shots for asset book and asset transactions.

I agree with Billur.  Most likely an issue with the posting profile.

Do you use 2 layers and have 2 books for one single fixed asset?

    Hi Mirza,

Few country has a requirement to post book depreciation and tax depreciation, so there might be 2 books assigned to fixed asset with different layers.

can you check how many books is assigned to fixed assets. Also, please share some screenshots which helps to answer better.

    Hello,

We use 2 books. IFRS and UGB. It is interesting that this problem appears only in IFRS. In UGB everything works as it should. The depreciation profile in IFRS has one line and the Straight line service life option is used. Also there is no localization here, we work in standard.

    Thanks
