Mass Purchase order Entry using Excel

Hi,

I was looking for the possibility to have the PO entry function to be executed through Excel (like the GL journal entry). It doesn't seem to be available and it is not in the roadmap.

Outside the use of the data management tool, any idea if this can be done ?

    Hi Sam,

    I think even if you would manage doing this through excel, excel would be too slow to import mass data.

    For that we have the DIXF and the data entities that you can fill in various ways.

    Yet an excel upload similar to GL journals does not seem the best solution unless you have a very small number of orders and items.

    Yet for testing purposes you can try designing an excel template through the excel workbook designer that is available in the common module. I have not done this but expect that this can be done as all the necessary entities are there.
