Edit Error Message Alternate Key

Hi Community,

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the error message which is shown when trying to create a duplicate record based on logic set by custom alternate keys?
Currently it says:

Duplicate Record
A record that has the attribute values Email already exists. The entity key EmailAddress1Key requires that this set of attributes contains unique values. Select unique values and try again. If you contact support, please provide the technical details.

Thanks,

Debbie

    Hi Debbie,

Thanks for your feedback. You could modify most common exception info from translations if you have similar issue.

We would be much appreciate if you could help archive the thread or there's any other question we could help investigate.

    Have a nice day.

    Regards

    Johnny

    Hi Johnny,

I exported the translations, but the one that i want to change is not in the export file.

Guess users will have to live with what we have. It is not a big problem. Was more a nice to have.

Thanks much though for thinking along.

    Best,

    Debbie

RE: Edit Error Message Alternate Key

    Hi Debbie,

I have searched a long time and aslo tried Deepesh161's suggestion in the following post:

    https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/microsoft-dynamics-crm-forum/151355/customize-login-error-messages

While it costs a long time to import translations and I still could not directly edit the error message 'A record that has the attribute values Email already exists. The entity ke....' occurred from alternative key duplicate detection except the title and exception dialog format.

There're also no XrmToolBox Plugin which could customize the exception dialog.

    Hope the above would help.

    Regards

    Johnny
