CSV Bank Statement Import File

I'm attempting to import a CSV bank statement file. I've followed the guide described here:-

https://stoneridgesoftware.com/how-to-import-a-bank-statement-file-for-bank-reconciliation-in-dynamics-nav/

However, when I attempt the import, I get the error below:-

The SELECTSTR comma-string Bank Account Ledger Entry,Cheque Ledger Entry,Difference does not contain a value for index 4.

Any thoughts?

It's a pretty basic CSV file (sample below):-

Date,Type,Description,Amount,Balance
17-Jul-19,CR,ACME PRODUCTS - 1020,1530,6175.8
16-Jul-19,CR,BODGEIT UK LTD,245.4,5635.8

    Hi,

It is difficult to troubleshoot the problem remotely.
Do you have any Extensions installed that could be a reason to the problem?

    Hi Nick

I know this is a long time after your question. I've just come across the same issue and found your question when trying to find the answer. I think I've resolved it for me but wouldn't mind comparing notes.

Is your column on the csv file for Amount formatted to number or decimal?

In your data exchange definition did you indicate that there was a header line in the document?

    Hello All,

You might consider the new v18 Bank Statement Import function. This will make what you are accomplishing extremely simple. Here is a link to the feature and a few snapshots:

Thanks very much for the info, much appreciated. I fully intend to investigate this. I'm on other things at the moment, but I will investigate.

Hi Steve, where can I see the simplified bank statement import extension?  I don't see it on the list of extensions I have. Thanks in advance!

    J-Vae,

Have you updated to v18? The updates started last week but have been paused by Microsoft, at least in the US. Check you version.

No, I'm still in 17.5. I am using the Saas version. So this should be available in both Desktop app and web-app(if we have v18), right?

    J-Vae,

v18 is updating anyone is SaaS, including your version 17.5. Have you see an email like below:

Ask your BC Admin or Partner and they can tell you what day this month, if not already, you are scheduled.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I just received the exact same error using NAV 2018 (US v. NAV 11)

My Amount field is set to decimal

    My columns are correct.

The version of NAV does not have the bank statement file setup availble.
