Notify a scheduled resource

Can some one explain when a resource is scheduled how is he notified? Do we need to change some settings?

When multiple resources are assigned is there any OOB option that sends notification to all resources making them aware that this WO has other resources too?

If you want to use OOB functionality. You might need to do is this:

Create a 'User' Lookup field and add it to the Bookable Resource Booking Form. You will probably need to auto fill this by looking at the Resource lookup to get the User Lookup value.

Then you can use that field to send the email to that user.

If you want to send an email to the resources but also want to show them the other resources that are working on this job then you might want to use a plugin to send the email and retrieve the data of all the resources on that work order using a query etc.

    Thanks Thomas,

When I try to create a Worflow  from WO as primary entity Bookable resource booking does not show up in related entities though it has relation.

When I try to create workflow from Bookable resource booking . In the email for FROM field what value do I choose? and in TO field I need the resource name but it is not giving me that option instead it shows (created by ,Modified by,owner, owner user)

Also when there are multiple resources how will I send Email informing about others(Is it a loop?) Please eloborate

    Thanks

    Hi Jogendar,

There is no notification system in place OOB.

You could send them an email once the Resource is scheduled or even send them a SMS text using some sort of service.

You could easily send them an email via a workflow or plugin on system status change of a Booking to 'Scheduled' or something like this.
