Alerts for errors in the Batch Log History

I believe you can set alerts if a batch jobs errors and also if an error occurs in the batch job history. We just started looking into these but are there other methods besides email like text messages that can be used? Typically our critical jobs run at night so an email is not enough. We need text to hopefully be woken up. Really I would like to hear how others have setup alerts for batch jobs.

You can check power automate option but it will be tricky. You can get some ideas from the below links:

You can use SMS API's Like Twillo for sending out SMS from D365FO but you will need customization.

Or else you can trigger SMS when you received an email, I think the second option is much easy.

This is great information. Have you created any alerts on a job executing too long? We’ve seen issues where a job gets stuck in an executing state which could hold up other batch jobs.
