How can we customize the physical appearance of Omni-Channel Chat with JavaScript or CSS?

There's a design tab when setting up web chat in the omni-channel admin section.

But the design tab limits you to changing the title or subtitle of the chat window, and maybe the color as well.

For instance, I can't change the font size, or type, increase the size of the window etc. I also can't do this on the front end with some CSS and JavaScript as it's a plugin and I can't select elements within the iframe that the script renders.

Is there a way to inject our own scripts or styles? What are the alternatives for customizing the chat window?

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!

We are looking for a way to customize the appearance with javascript or css. Unfortunately this link is not helpful in our case.
