How does business events works if the "use business events batch job" switch is not enabled in business events parameters?
You can choose to run it as a batch job on the batch server or a background thread on AOS server. If you chose batch server then you might have a delay if there is a long running job at the same time. In the other scenario you might have a delay if there is a heavy user activity, odata queries etc.

I thought if the setting is enabled and then I click business events batch job where I specify batch processing to true and define occurrence to 1 min then this would mean that it will run in the background. So can you please clarify more the difference
I have 2 environments where one of them has this setting as enabled with batch processing true and one where this setting is disabled but the business events are still working fine.
So I want to know the difference between these two options please

If this setting is not enabled, the business events are created with a process running as separate thread in the background.
