I am pretty sure, through testing and experience, that the default buttons in Dynamics' email editor does NOT render in Outlook, either consistently or in the 120 DPI Windows Desktop versions. Sometimes the buttons are just not visible. Sometimes the button is visible, but the text is gone. Kind of comical that their own product doesn't render in their own email clients.
Has anyone else experienced this? What have you done to fix the issue consistently. I've tried adding MSO specific code, but Dynamics doesn't like it and overwrites the code.
That's part of the issue. We noticed that if the rounded corners is set to 0, the buttons don't render, but if it's set to at least 1px they do render - sometimes. I have to ask, if you know that Outlook doesn't support rounded corners, then why is that option even available in the editor?
Hi alemieux69,
We make sure that the buttons created using the drag & drop editor in D365 Marketing do render correctly in all email clients.
Please be aware though that Outlook doesn't support rounded corners.
If the issue is not about rounded corners, and you are still experiencing any issues with the editor - please create a Support ticket, include HTML of your email and we will investigate.
Best regards,
PM, D365 Marketing
I don't think any of that applies. The core issue is that Microsoft Dynamics' default buttons do NOT render in their own applications, like Microsoft Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016 and Microsoft Outlook 120 dpi for Windows Desktop.
Hi alemieux69,
Maybe you can check outlook first: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/microsoft-office-applications-missing-all-buttons/3be8aaab-7379-4594-984c-97de921e2696
Or if you have updated to a version later than May 2021? This update resolved an error that caused email button text to not load correctly.
If it doesn't help you, please provide screenshots to me for further research.
