Timesheet reminder - batch message: "emails were not delivered due to missing email IDs"

Hello,

We have setup a weekly e-mail reminder for timesheet registration, but not all of the users get it. I checked the batch job associated with it and the infolog shows the message below:

As far as I know, the e-mail ID is the one from Users, which they all have filled. I noticed however that on the Worker form, not all of them have set Primary checkmark on their e-mail address. Could this be the reason?

Is there a way to check to which form the Infolog referrs?

Many thanks!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi D73,

Do you set up alert for users one by one?

Do you check if all alerts are filled in Email recipients?

Do you check the event viewer on server for more details?

    Hi MATTGUO,

Thanks for your reply. I have not set up the batch myself, so I don't know the answers to your questions.

For the first one, I suspect is one by one. Are you referring to e-mail notification toggle in User options/Workflow?

In what forms can I check for the last of your two questions? I only have Sys Admin rights on D365 instance, without access to Visual Studio.

    Thank you!

there is batch for email distribution, as syadmin you can check in batch history and if not present then should schedule one

also need to ensure a primary email address on employees

    Hi Rahul,

I had checked the batch history - Batch e-mail sending status - only see the sent ones. I don't have a failed status for the ones that were not sent, or any other status for that matter.

My guess is also that the primary address checkmark was missing on Employee - for emails, but I wanted to rule out any other things. Also, shouldn't the e-mail consider the e-mail set in User?

    Thank you!

    Hi D73,

For 2, check related rules in the path of System administration > Setup > Alert rules as my screenshot shows.

For 3, check the event viewer in the path Applications and services logs > microsoft > Dynamics > AX-EventDefinitionAndProcessingProvider on server if there are more details.

Do you try to create a test alert to verify your guess?

I figured it out. As I thought, the primary checkmark on worker e-mail address did the thing.

    Thanks all for your support!
