Can I Cancel or Hold a Sales order in NAV rather than deleting it?

I have a sales order which I need to keep, but prevent it from being released and despatched.  Is there a way I can put it into a status of Held or Cancelled?

Unfortunately, there is no cancel option or hold option, but you can archive the sales order and delete it.  It will store a copy of it in archives for you to review it later or to create it again using copy document from the archive.

There's no any standard NAV process to cancel a sales order, You can either go with Approval Functionality OR Archiving as per the out of the box functionality is concerned.

If you want something else then you need to go for customisations.

Hi, yes, there is no Archived order type in Copy Document Function, you need to customize it if you need it.
