Dear Friends,

I have a new requirement from my lead, that I need to read data from microsoft dynamic ax 2012 and update in local application database.

Ex: Need to read product master from microsoft dynamic ax 2012 software and update this product details into my local erp software (local erp developed in C#.Net).

Also Sales order from local ERP need to upload into microsoft dynamic ax 2012.

Please suggest me how to do this... It's most urgent...

Dynamics AX offers the Application Integration Framework (AIF) for such scenarios. In your case, you should use AIF document services (it includes documents for products and sales orders out of the box). You'll find a few more links here.

    Hi Shabeer,

For product and product master, there is a built in AIF web service is available. You just need to expose this service and then call it from .NET by adding service reference. From .NET application, you would be able to read and update product or product master records through this web service. Take a look at below post to find out how to call AIF web service from C#:

For sales order upload in AX,  you can call the sales order web service to create sales order from .NET application. Below link has the details:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../ff628055(v=ax.50).aspx

The code mentioned above is for AX 2009, but with minor modifications, it should work for AX 2012 as well. You should be able to get an idea from this link.

Another option for uploading Sales order in AX is to use Data import export framework. If you have the data in the form of csv or Excel file, then you can easily upload data in AX using DIXF. Below link has the details related to DIXF:

    technet.microsoft.com/.../jj225596.aspx

Please let me know if you have further queries.

    Thanks,

    Baber.
