Hi,
We are using serverside synchronization for our mailboxes to track appointments between CRM and Outlook. However, on some of our users we are having an issue where everytime the serverside sync runs, it will create a large amount of contacts in CRM. In some instances this occurs every 7-8 mins (so probably everytime the serverside sync runs in the background) which leads to a large amount of duplicate records in the CRM system. This behavior stops if we deactivcate synchronization for Appointments, contacts and tasks, but this is not a permanent solution since we want to use the synchronization feature to synchronize appointments.
We have deactivated the outlook synchronization filter for contacts.
Are there anyone with experience with similar issues, or have any suggestions to where we might start to look?
All the best

We don't want to deactivate the sync for contacts since this also affects the sync for appointments, which we want to keep. We are fairly certain that the contacts are coming in through serverside sync, because when we disable the contact and appointment sync for these users, the contacts stops coming in.
You can go and just deactivate contact sync up to CRM.. Sounds like a user or two has not been deactivated. Can you look at the logs and see where they are synching up from?
