Hello Team,
In RTC I don't want all users to see everything inside the Department, would like to restrict or hide Department itself from Navigation tab for some users and will allow only for few users if required
I went through Permission set but didnt find much help
Can anyone suggest.

Yes got it now...but i think i was not looking for this option but anyway,I will work on it now and try to get what i was looking for through this option and will comeback if required.

Did you try by setting Owner also for Profile?
Hello Mohana,
I tried opening the RTC in configuration mode by going through Command prompt but its says you dont have permission to configure the RTC though I am super user.
Can you please suggest.

No, you need to open RTC in Config mode and remove the Departments then it will be applicable to all users who are using that Profile Role Center.
Search for how to open RTC in Config Mode..

But even with with new Role center, where i can find the option to hide/remove the Department since on role center itself its showing an option " Customize navigation page " where we can add or remove buttons but thats not I am looking for since it will not be globally rather it will be each client system specific irrespective of RTC assigned
Also please suggest as copying a role center does copy all function along with that and we can rename to some other role center?
Another query is that when I use Cronus License and Demo database...Customize navigation pane option comes in RTC but when I used my license and database...that option is not editable though i am super user...can you also please suggest on this.

You need to create or use existing Role Centers based on your requirement.
You can assign Sales Manager Role Center a user who wants to see Departments.
You can create a copy of Sales Manager Role Center (Ex: Sales Depot) and remove Departments.
Assign New Role Center Sales Depot to users who dont want to see Departments..

Means with the current Role Center( Sales Manager) which comes with NAV 2013, I cant restrict the user form viewing the Department....With one option I can go to design mode of menu suite and hide but with that option...it creates the rule for all all user who is assigned Sales manager RTC irrespective of License Type.
Is there anyway I can restrict with license type or with permission set.
Can you please confirm.

You need to Create a New Role with proper pages/menu's to show and remove departments in Config Mode..
