Hello, I am trying to change the Columns property on a TabPageFormControl to -1 (auto) but it's not allowing me. Only certain properties are allowed to be changed, yet other TabPages on this form do have the Columns set to -1, so why can't I change the one I want to change?
Only some properties can be changed via extensions. Also form pattern (and pattern of the tab page) impacts what properties are available.
Okay that makes sense. This is the EcoResProductDetailsExtended form and I would like to change the TabPageForeignTrade columns to auto (-1). What is the correct way of doing this, or are you saying, there is no way to do this?
Theoretically you can hide the existing tab page and add your own, then you should be able to use Custom pattern. This would mean that if Microsoft (or ISV solution that you might be using) adds new fields to TabPageForeignTrade tab page, those fields might not be visible on your new tab page without additional work. So, you should consider whether the business value of this workaround is bigger than the cost of implementing and maintaining it.
