Auto-populate field based on another look-up field

Hello Dear MS community,

I have a question on my Dynamics 365. Here's what I have:

- an Entity Account and Entity Case.

- a Field Service Plan (dropdown) on the Account.

- a Lookup Field for Account on the Case.

Question: I'm trying to create a new read-only auto-populated Field on the Case to display a Service Plan based on the Account Field. Could you please advise on how-to steps?

    Hi Sabina,

    You can create a workflow on case entity to achieve it.

    Go Settings > Process.

    Can you tell me what type of the new field in Case? option set field or single line of text?

    Because Local option set can't be mapped in out of box workflow, You need define the Global Option sets and set the fields in Account and Case to use this option set.

    If the type of field Service Plan (dropdown) on the Account is local option set and you don't want to create new global option set field to replace it, maybe you can make the type of new field in Case is single line of text.
