Is there a way to do a bulk upload of parts to adjust the default order settings such as lead times, MOQ?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi Christina,

When you navigate to the Default order settings for a specific product, you can use the Open in Excel option to load all default order settings in Excel using a Dynamics connector. You can then edit data and publish the changes en mass.

It is also possible to use data management. In that case ensure the source file contains only the key fields and the fields that you want to update. Or all the other fields should have the original values.

    Hi,

To Bulk update, you may use Excel Add in:

Navigate to Released Products > Select any Product > Select Manage Inventory/Stock > Default order settings > Now Click on Excel Add in , Open in Excel - Product default order settings V3 > Excel will be downloaded > Open excel and login using same user id / password as Dynamics Login.

It will extract all items data as below, now you can update , create , remove and then Publish:

Alternatively, you can use Data management workspace using Data entity : Released products V2 however you need to then identify fields relevant to your requirement.

    Thanks

    Hi,
As Andre and Gaurav said, you can open it in Excel and do bulk updates. This article describes about how to go through the default order settings setup and what everything does and controls: dynamics-tips.com.
    Best regards,
    Kevin

Thanks so much for the screen shots.

I received this message when excel finished loading. Not sure if this is something to worry about.

Then I received this message when I went to publish. Is it going to delete all the other parts that exported, I went ahead and deleted all other row in the excel doc as I wasn't editing those ones. Should I have left them in there?

    Hi Christina,

The information tells you that not all data was retrieved in Excel. You can try to remove some columns using the Design option if they are not needed.

When you delete rows from Excel and then publish the changes, it will actually delete the records from Dynamics 365 F&O. You asked if you should have left some rows in. That depends on your use case. Did you need to delete records from F&O as well or not? If not, you can better first filter the data in Excel. Then make some changes for the bulk update and remove the row filters before performing the Publish action.

Hi, you can use Data management import for bulk upload of default order settings. Data entity name is Default order settings.

Specifically, for MOQ, you can use column names.

    MAXIMUMINVENTORYORDERQUANTITY
    MAXIMUMPROCUREMENTORDERQUANTITY
    MAXIMUMSALESORDERQUANTITY
    MINIMUMINVENTORYORDERQUANTITY
    MINIMUMPROCUREMENTORDERQUANTITY
    MINIMUMSALESORDERQUANTITY

Let me know if you need more help.
