Vat Statement on SaaS V27 issue

Hello

BC SaaS upgraded to V27 and now we are getting an error when submitting the Vat to HMRC

"Vat Statement has the wrong setup. There must be nine rows, each with a value of between 1 and 9 for the Box No. field"

This was never an issue before.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
I have the same question (27)

    Hi, there,

Apparently, the VAT setup has changed in v27, and that's likely why you're seeing this new issue. You may have to follow the VAT setup guide offered by Microsoft in order to fix this one.

    Hello,
In Business Central v27, VAT Statements must have exactly nine boxes (1–9) per HMRC rules.
Older statements missing boxes now cause the “nine rows” error.
Edit your VAT Statement to include and correctly number all nine boxes.

    Regards,
    Oussama

    Hi,

This validation was tightened in v27. Open VAT Statement Names and check the linked VAT-Statement Lines and ensure there are nine lines and the Box No. column is filled with values 1 through 9 (one per line). If any are missing or duplicated, add/edit rows so the structure matches HMRC’s standard VAT return boxes.
After correcting, re-run the VAT submission, it should pass.

We are encountering the same issue.  We re-created a new dummy VAT Statement with the Box No. rows 1-9 [even though we already had these set correctly] to rule setup as an issue out.  We are still getting the same error.  We tried it on a V26.5 with the same data/setup and it works, only on V27 are we having the issue.  What has changed since that version? Box 1-9 is filled in - it looks like a bug or new setup other than what is being suggested.......

This is likely one of the reasons why the major v27 update was postponed.

    Thanks.

Agree with previous response, this issue is likely linked to the v27 update that Microsoft has now temporarily postponed.

This is still broken after V27.0 postponement was finished. I haven't found a solution - the first 9 rows are numbered 1 to 9, with no duplicates elsewhere. I may try and make a new statement to see if I can get it to work.

Currently, BC Yammer Group is inaccessible, so you can only submit a SR to Microsoft and ask them to assist in the investigation.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

In Business Central SaaS version 27, Microsoft introduced stricter validation for VAT Statements submitted to HMRC under Making Tax Digital (MTD). Now, the VAT Statement must contain exactly nine lines, each with a unique Box No. from 1 to 9—no more, no less. This was not enforced in earlier versions, which is why you're now seeing the error: "VAT Statement has the wrong setup...".

To resolve it, review your VAT Statement setup and ensure it includes exactly nine lines with Box Nos 1 through 9, without duplicates or omissions.
