Anyone know what happened and how to fix it ?

Thanks,

Can you reproduce it in a dev system? You should try to debug it there.

    1. Open Visual Studio

    2. Attach to process for debugging (w3wp.exe / iisexpress.exe)

    3. Open D365 and Deploy Power BI files

    4. The debugger should show what causes the exeception

    Hi Nikolaos,

Sorry, but I'm not a developer, so don't know how to debug.

Anyway in message center, I found some messages:

    - Object reference not set to and instance of an object

    - Cannot retrieve file asset from LCS Project

    - Cannot retrieve assets from LCS asset library.

Does it mean a thing ?

You might want to ask your developer / admin to look at it.

    Hi.

We had a similar problem when we tried to deploy or start the "Purchase and spend analysis" PowerBi report. In our case it was just in the STAGE environment, in LIVE everything was fine. We redeployed STAGE without solving the problem. After multiple session with the MS support the problem was solved by deleting the records in the PBIEMBEDDEDREPORTCONFIG table.

As mentioned above in our case it was just in STAGE where we had SQL access to the database. It suggest to analyze it together with the MS support team.

    best regards

    Christoph
