Navigation Lists and Business Analyzer Graphics

Hello,

I want to know if there is a way to disable (or configure) the graphics associated to the Lists located in the Navigation Panel above the Series Menu in Dynamics GP 2013R2.

Accesing those lists with graphics is too slow.

Thanks

    Hi Luis,

The charts and reports displayed in the navigation lists in GP are based on the settings that you setup in the Business Analyzer tool that comes along with GP. You'll need to install that tool either on the server or your workstation and launch it.

At first sight you're going to see a dashboard type windows and not much other buttons.. To access the configuration options, you've to click on the top left corner (Dynamics Icon) and select Options from the menu.  In the next window, click on 'Report Selection' and look at what's currently selected in the right pane...

This is what I remember from the old days when this launched the first time with GP 10.. though I could be wrong for the 'in-GP' display..

    Hope this helps.

PS: just found out that if you hit CTRL-F2 while in the Navigation List mode, the BA pane is going to be hidden (or just follow the steps below)

Somehow the picture copy/paste didn't made its way into the reply :-)... trying again.

    Excellent Beat,

I could hide the BA pane, and it helps to me.

However, how can I change the charts related to each Navigation List, I installed the BA tool and followed the steps that you suggested to me, however there is no chart selected in "Report Selection" window in the BA Configuration.

    Thanks

    Hi Luis,

That's actually a very good question... which I haven't found an answer yet. I must confess that our users don't really work a lot with the navigation lists, which is a shame because they're very powerful. I need to dig into the documentation about BA to figure out if there is a way to control directly what's displayed on each module in GP... Initially I tought that everything could be configured thru the BA console, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

CTRL-F2 works but how the ......... someone is going to find out what it is and when it gets installed and what it is called (Navigation List+Business Analyzer Graphics) and why do we need it for every single Transaction and for the whole users' group and then how to hide it.

Amazingly we did not see it for whole month after upgrade to GP 2013 R2 and now all of sudden. May be somebody fat fingered it without even knowing the consequences.

Anyhow whoever figured it deserves an appreciation
