v9 upgrade - UAT trial

We are in the process of upgrading from v.8.2 to v.9. In the administrators portal: https://port.crm3.dynamics.com, there is a new trial a UAT sandbox:

https://xyz-uat.sandbox.crm3.dynamics.com/. The setup is in https://port.crm3.dynamics.com as a trial.

I am getting the following error message:

You need a Microsoft Dynamics 365 security role to continue

Your access to Microsoft Dynamics 365 has not yet been fully configured. Ask your Microsoft Dynamics 365 administrator to assign you to a security role.

I am a sysadmin and both myself and the global admin tried and can't access the UAT trial.

This is my first upgrade of the CRM. Is there documentation anywhere on what I am supposed to do to activate a UAT environment on the upgrade? Is the UAT required?

Reach out to MS support if you are unable to login with Admin account or you lost the Admin account details to login.

Hi,

Upgrading from V8 to V9 doesn't require a UAT org. You just need to schedule the date for upgrade and Microsoft will upgrade the instance on that date. You can read about uprades here - docs.microsoft.com/.../manage-updates
