Created on and Modified on using Kingsway Soft

Posted on by 395

Hi,

Can any one suggest whether its possible to retain the Created on and Modified on fields values .during the data import from one organization to another using the Kingsway soft SSIS packages without writing any C# component?

I am performing data migration and i couldn't find any way to retain these values. Earlier i have created some legacy fields and later updated the overridecreated on field that reflected the correct value but using Kingsway soft i couldn't find any such option.

    Hi,

We cannot maintain the Modified On during the data migration.

Even you cannot maintain via Scribe tool also.If the data volume is less then you can go for legacy field creation and set it up after. If the data volume is high it is difficult to use the same idea because whne you perform plugin operation to update the modifiedon and it may be timed out.

    Regards,

    Thangamani

You can keep the createdon value by mapping it to the overriddencreatedon field in the destination, though tis is only available on a Create operation. However, the only way to retain the modifiedon is by writing a plugin in CRM that will override the system-generated value
