Revise quotation plugin - add custom code

Hello,

In the quotation we have a relationship with our custom entity as follows 1:N:

During quotation preparation, the sales team add multiple lines related to a quote.

When revising a quotation, we also wish to replicate the same lines on a new version of the quotation. This is very similar how it behaves OOB for the quote product lines.

Is it possible to amend changes to the revise backend plugin code? If not, how do we know that the revise plugin has been kicked-off so we can trigger our custom action or plugin to inject our code logic to replicate the data on the table?

Would it be possible to provide a small example or documentation?
