Stock Levels - 3rd Party Portal

HI all,
bit of a long shot but has anyone ever built an integration with a third-party portal to show real time stock levels? I imagine it would require an API integration. Not sure if this could be extended to allow sales ordering.
Thanks

If you are talking about displaying your stock levels and customers placing orders, you're defining e-commerce, and there are a lot of integrations available on AppSource to the various e-commerce platforms.  There is a native integration to Shopify.

If you are talking about viewing a Vendor's stock levels and placing purchase orders, your basically describing e-commerce for a Vendor.  It would be completely dependent on their software and what its capabilities are.

Use the standard API endpoints like /items or create a custom API page in AL code to expose the exact stock data you need (e.g., quantity on hand per item). The /items endpoint already provides fields like inventory that reflect current stock levels. The third-party portal can call this API at regular intervals (e.g., every minutes) or use webhooks (if customized) to push updates whenever stock changes in Business Central. This ensures the portal reflects live data—crucial for avoiding overselling or stock discrepancies.

    Hope this help.

Thanks or the answers. Just to be a little clearer - it will be our stock levels on the 3rd party site.
