I've had success creating Word templates for the SOP Blank Invoice form and assigning one template as the default and then other templates to specific Customer IDs. However with the SOP Blank HISTORY Invoice Form, the default template prints instead of the template assign to the specific customer. Has anyone experienced the same issue and does anyone know if this issue has been reported to Microsoft?
Hello Bob - I was looking at your post and you are running into bug 69668. Development did look into the issue, but there is not a fix date due to low customer count reporting the issue.
Andy - thanks for that info - where can I read more about bug 69668? I've searched through Microsoft Connect and found nothing. Does this also mean it is still not working in later releases of GP?
Correct. Since there were not a lot of customers reporting the issue they gave it a lower priority for a fix. They give these priorities to fix mission critical issues first.
Andy - so where can I read the details behind this bug?
Andy - I have 2 clients (different version of GP) with this exact issue. Where can I go to make sure this problem gets the attention of Microsoft?
Hello Bob - Sorry for the late reply. I was out of the office for a few days. Is this assigned to a Customer or Customer Class. Looking at the bug it seems to only repro if that was the case. If you are assigning this Template as default and you are still running into issues I would recommend opening a support incident.
Did you load a product suggestion to fix this feature?
I don't believe that I was able to. Couldn't find the Microsoft site to do that.
Hey Andy.. I tried your fix and it worked. SOP Blank History Invoice Form takes into account Customer assignation now!!
Can you provide further details in regards with the customer assignation.
Is it working for email functionality or for word template functionality.
As I far as I know this was reported as a bug, is it working on your side? What GP version are you using?
The e-mail and Word Template functionalities weren't working properly. But the change in the section mentionned in Andy's article solved the issue.
