We are trying to import and excel file onto NAv 2016 and this is the error I have. We have even tried to repair and install back the SDK but yet it does no work.
Message below i get
"a call to microsoft.dynamics.nav.openxml.spreadsheet.workbookreader open failed with this message"
any idea what can cause the issue.
Is this a custom import via Excel (custom code) or what? It seems that the code is not able to open the Excel Book. The problem could be file not found, incorrect name or format. Can we have more details regarding the function you’re using and the message?
If it's a standard importer it could be :
1. Excel not installed on server/client
2. You try to import file from web client
We tried to access the file from a shared folder and it works fine but when we do it from our local dynamics NAV application it gives this error
Can we have the error in details? What's the exact message? It could be also a problem related to permission for the NAV user in order to access the folder where you have the Excel file, but without seeing the error in details it's quite difficult.
how to attach the screenshot here or can you share an email id for me to send u
